PROJECT OVERVIEW


JetBlack Plumbers were engaged by Counsel’s Chambers Limited to deliver a specialist basement drain relining project at Wentworth Chambers. The works formed part of a proactive asset maintenance strategy to extend the life of existing drainage infrastructure while minimising disruption to building occupants.

The project involved the relining of existing drainage stacks within the basement, ensuring long-term performance, compliance, and reliability without the need for invasive replacement works.

SCOPE OF WORKS

JetBlack Plumbers provided a complete end-to-end relining solution, including:

 

  • Basement drain relining works in accordance with the project tender
  • Coordination and management of work zone permits for each building for the duration of the project
  • Footpath occupation permits maintained for each building as required
  • Removal and disposal of all debris from site upon completion
  • Full site coordination to maintain safe access and compliance throughout the works

All works were undertaken with unobstructed access for plant and equipment and in accordance with agreed project assumptions.

All products used comply with AS3500 and ASTM standards, ensuring a high-quality, compliant outcome with a minimum 50-year design life.

QUALITY ASSURANCE & HANDOVER

As part of the project handover, JetBlack Plumbers provided:

  • Pre- and post-installation CCTV footage
  • Quality assurance documentation and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Compliance certification
  • Fully functional drainage stacks delivered in accordance with specification

JetBlack Plumbers guarantee workmanship and detailing for 6 years, with statutory warranties applying in line with the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW):

  • Minor defects: 2 years
  • Major defects: 6 years

PROJECT OUTCOME

The relining works successfully restored the integrity of the existing drainage system, delivering a compliant, durable, and non-invasive solution for Wentworth Chambers.
